In 2005, I was walking with my Nikon in downtown Clearwater, and I came across an old theater. There was an older guy sitting outside talking on his cell phone. I continued on my way when he motioned me aside and asked me if I'd like to take some pictures inside the theater. He explained that there was a show there that evening, and he would let me in for free,
if I was interested. The show was a group that had created a replica of the Holy of Holies in the Jewish Temple, featuring the Ark of the Covenant.
I was unable to stay for the program, but he turned all the lighting in the theater on and left me to it. I found out later that his name is Socrates Charos, a choreographer and, I found out later that he is a strong
Christian and has raised a man from the dead. He has several musical sons I've photographed. I thought he looked very leonine and made this
composite with the lion on the wall of his theater.
