Sandhill Cranes, 2007

          These were shot at locations other than Fernwood Circle; I have a

dedicated page for those. I think these were taken at a Rest Area on I75 on one of my trips to Lake City, to work on the recording of Lani Clark's album. I've never seen any in our area. That rest area is more the center of the state and further north. Let me just say, they have some spectacular sweets in their

vending machine. It was either a cinnamon roll or a bear claw. Yum.

          I think there aren't many Sandhill Cranes left, but I don't know that they are on the endangered list. They certainly had the run of this place, walk-

ing on the picnic tables, etc.
