I first encountered Brendan when he opened for The Barra MacNeils at
Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center.
I was pretty new at that point in my
concert photography career, and I
was pretty excited about the shots
I got of him. I wanted to get them
to him since I thought he might be
able to use them, but I was hesitant because I thought he might think
I was trying to scam him some-
how. I’m really glad I did, because
he liked my work and I have ended
up helping him with numerous
projects over a number of years.
Brendan is the consummate Irish singer-songwriter. He has introduced
me to a wide world of artists that I was unaware of. He’s really really good!

Volunteering at the Adult Day Care Facilities
I haven’t had as much interaction with Brendan in the past few years since my cancer and Covid. The last project I assisted him with was recording
some tracks for an album featuring songs about The Holocaust. He wrote some songs based on poems by Holly Mandelkern. Her book is Beneath White Stars.
Brendan and Noel Cooney at Flanagan's in Dunedin. Brendan played
there frequently. Noel owned it.
I recorded Brendan in concert at The Side Door. Posted by permission.
